Transportation Policy 23-24

Dear Madison Families, As the 2023-24 school year comes to a close, I would like to remind all parents/caregivers to notify the transportation department of your child/children’s transportation needs for the 2024-25 school year. As a result of a policy change effective with the 2024-25 school year, the district will allow only one stop for AM pick up and one PM drop off location. The stop for morning pickup can differ from the afternoon drop off location, but the AM pick up stop must be consistent every day, and the PM drop off location must be consistent every day. Please consider this decision and location carefully. As in years past, the transportation request form is located in Final Forms and should be completed no later than July 1, 2024 to ensure that we create a space on a bus for your student(s). If you need to change the stop location after July 1, please contact the bus garage before amending Final Forms as the transportation department does not receive notifications of changes to the original stop locations. The preferred time for you to contact the bus garage for changes is the last week in July. The transportation department will plan on sending out postcards or contacting families by phone prior to August 10th. Also, please be aware that during the first month of the school year, the district will not be transporting students on open enrollment. Please contact the bus garage after September 15th to find out if the district has space available to transport an open enrolled child. New Student Request
Eligibility for transportation is based on the home address of each child. Please fill out the Transportation Information form through your Final Forms account. It may take up to 5 days to be scheduled and you will be notified by the secretary of the time and stop when completed. 
Grade 1-12 Annual Request
We ask that we receive a request for transportation annually by June 30th each year so that our bus routes can be made more efficient, and routes can by studied and worked on throughout the summer months. We will send a postcard with bus stop information by the end of July. Please complete the Transportation Information form through your Final Forms account.
