2025 Summer EBT - Sun Bucks
If your household income meets the requirements for free and reduced-price school meals, your child is eligible to receive S-EBT grocery benefits. You should have received a text and/or email if you were automatically submitted. Summer EBT benefits will begin being sent by the beginning of June through the summer. Benefits will be available to use for 122 days after you receive the benefit on your Ohio Direction Card or receive the benefit card in the mail. Receiving Summer EBT will not affect children’s or families’ immigration status.
In addition to Summer EBT, children under 18 years of age in your household can also receive free meals during the summer at a summer meal site. You can call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (or text 914-342-7744 with the keyword “summer meals”) to find the location closest to you.
If you have questions, you can contact the Summer EBT helpline at 1-866-244-0071, option 1.

Here is the video from last night's board meeting. There were technical difficulties for the first couple of minutes, but other than the roll call and the pledge of allegiance, no business was conducted prior to the executive session.

Dear Families,
We are always working to improve and simplify communication between you and our Madison Local School District.
Staying connected with your child's coursework and activities has a direct impact on their well-being, both at school and at home. Effective school communication is key to this, but it’s often not as simple or accessible as it could be.
That’s why we’re working to make it better. On April 11th, we’ll be adding a new feature called "Rooms" to our district app. Beginning next school year, Rooms will allow you to engage in two-way conversations with teachers, as well as stay updated on announcements relevant to you and your child. For the remainder of this school year, we will be using it to share building-wide information and updates. We will also have a few select teachers piloting it for use at each school building.
Our district app currently offers:
Live feed updates
District and school news
Upcoming events
Push notifications for important and urgent announcements
With Rooms, you’ll have access to even more exciting features like:
Two-way messaging with teachers, staff, and coaches
Classroom announcements, reminders about coursework, and materials
Behavior tracking for celebrating good behavior and academic achievement
Automatic translation
So, what does this mean for you? It means you won’t need another app or tool to stay connected with your child’s teachers, coaches, coursework, and activities. School and district information will all be available in one place—our Madison Local School District app. If you don’t have it yet, the app is free and can be found in both the Play Store and the App Store!
On April 11th, you'll receive an invite to Rooms via email or text. Once you get the invite, simply follow the link in your browser to create a login. After creating your login, you can access Rooms through the Madison Local School District app.
We hope this provides you with a richer, simpler, and ultimately easier communication experience.
Feel free to reach out to your child’s school office if you have any questions or concerns.
Best,
Madison Local School District
