Remote Learning Announcement
Due to general illness, COVID-related illness, and staffing issues, Madison South Elementary will be moving to remote learning for a one week period beginning Wednesday, September 15th through Tuesday, September 21st.  In-person classes will resume on Wednesday, September 22nd. 
 
The school will provide students and their families with information on how to access their remote learning and will also continue to provide meals during this period.  More information on pick-up procedures will be made available prior to Wednesday. 

Madison Comprehensive High School will continue on remote learning through this Friday, September 17th.  In-person classes will resume on Monday, September 20th.  The school will continue to provide meals during this period.  More information on pick-up procedures will be made available later today (9/15/21).

Principal Bios

Mr. Jonathan Muro

Mr. Muro is currently in his 11th year as an administrator in Madison Local Schools and his 24th year in education.  Previously Mr. Muro was the Principal at Eastview Elementary School and Assistant Principal at Madison South Elementary School.  Prior to coming to Madison Local  Schools, Mr. Muro was director of instrumental music grades 5-12 at  Southeast Local School in Wayne County for 13 years.   Mr. Muro received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and his Principal certificate at the University of Akron.  Mr. Muro also has a Superintendent certificate from Ashland University.

Mr. Jordan Nelson

Mr. Nelson is in his first year as an administrator at Madison Local Schools and is in his 8th year of education. Previously, Mr. Nelson has taught at Shelby Middle School as a 5th grade teacher teaching all subjects. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in 4th and 5th grade. He then received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, as well as his Principal’s certificate from Ashland University.

Mr. Andrew Kepple

Mr. Kepple is in his fourth year at Madison Local Schools and his 22nd year in education.  Previously Mr. Kepple was a History teacher for 15 years, and the Dean of Students for one year at Mansfield Senior High School.  Mr. Kepple received his bachelor's degree at Ohio Wesleyan University.  He received a Master's degree in educational leadership as well as his principal certificate at Ashland University.
