As a result of a significant portion of our staff receiving the 2nd round of the COVID-19 vaccination, there will be no face-to-face instruction on Friday, March 12th. 
All instruction will be provided remotely with students having the option of completing their assignments through Google Classroom/other platforms or by completing the paper and pencil/blizzard bag assignments that will be provided by their teachers. 
The vaccination day also happens to fall on the last day of the 3rd grading period, and therefore a 2 hour early dismissal day.  During the 2 hour dismissal period, our teachers are scheduled to work on finalizing student grades for next week's report cards.  Therefore they may not be accessible to your students during that time period. 
Online academy students should complete their coursework as normal. 
Meals will be delivered to bus stops for those who request them.  Please see the district website to request a meal for your child.  The deadline for meal requests is March 10th. 
The Adult Career Center will meet as scheduled on the 12th.  The MECLC will open at 7:00 AM as normal for preschool and childcare on the 12th.

Free Meals for ALL children enrolled in Madison Local Schools!

USDA’s recent announcement to extend waivers to school districts operating under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs allows ALL school age children serviced by Madison Local Schools to receive school breakfast and school lunch FREE of charge through the end of the school year.
  • Families are encouraged to continue completing free or reduced meal applications in order to make a smooth transition back to regular priced meals when schools return to traditional pricing and also to determine waived fees for eligible families.
  • Students at the buildings must take a complete meal in order to receive the meal free of charge.
  • Families whose students are in the Madison Online Academy may pick up a week’s worth of food by filling out a weekly Google form on the building/district website by 5pm every Thursday. This gives the school the name and number of students and allows the staff time to prepare the food for pick-up on Mondays.
  • Pickup will be at their choice of building beginning Monday, September 21st between the hours of 9:00-10:00. Parents picking up from Mifflin should be at the school from 9:30-10:30.
