Text Box: Many, many years ago, keyboarding was know as “typing.” The similarity between the two is that the required skills are based on finger-key association. The most obvious difference is that “typing” involved students with little or no experience, while today’s keyboarding involves students with “hunt and peck” skills developed during their use of home computers. “Hunt and peck” habits will be eliminated and replaced with a finger-key association skill.

In addition to learning the proper way to type, students will also learn the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
