Students complete intense class/lab training for 12 weeks, followed by 100 externship hours. Students prepare for and take the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Phlebotomy Technician certification exam.

Scheduled Phlebotomy Class:

  • Class Days/Hours/Dress: Tuesday – Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., scrubs, tennis shoes, second hand watch

  • Class Dates: August 30, 2011 through November 17, 2011

  • Externship: is arranged and will be complete by December 30, 2011

PPD Skin Testing (available at MedCentral’s Fitness Center, WorkAble Program, right set of doors if completed at same time of drug testing)
Prior testing valid for 90 days, proof of skin testing required

Hepatitis B vaccinations – proof of the 1st of 3 vaccines must be received by first day of class (through health department) Prior testing valid 5 years if all 3 vaccinations completed, proof required
